‘Youth Walk for Integrity’ on Monday

Transparency International Sri Lanka TISL) with Sri Lanka Youth and Sri Lanka Federation of Youth is organizing a Youth Walk for Integrity to commemorate the United Nations Anti-Corruption Day which falls on Monday, 9 December.

The Youth Walk is scheduled to start at 11 a.m. from Lipton Circus and will end up at Viharamahadevi Park.

The objective of the Walk is twofold – to demonstrate the commitment of youth towards values of integrity, and to make young people aware of the negative impact of corruption on their future. The Walk will bring young people from all walks of life together to a single platform and increase their network of support where they will be encouraged to become change agents to tackle corruption. The involvement of youth is essential to the elimination of corruption in Sri Lanka as they not only represent the future of the island nation but also constitute a significant portion of the population.
