TISL Brainstorms with Ministry of Education of Sri Lanka for possible collaboration

Transparency International Sri Lanka (TISL) had one day workshop with Ministry of Education (MOE) on 8th April 2008 at Center for Housing Planning and Building (CHPB), Pelawattha, Baththaramulla. The main objective of this workshop was to buildup understanding and confidence between the two parties in order to carry out TISL educational implementation plan for 2008.

Officials of MOE including Secretary to the MOE , additional secretary , deputy directors, additional directors, Zonal directors and TISL executives and the official from Representation and Monitoring units participated in the meeting.
MOE highlighted the challenges, bottlenecks and lacunas in relation to integrity in the education sector. Possible interventions and assistance that TISL could extend in dealing with these issues were briefly discussed. It was decided to have another one day workshop in early May to further discuss the effective implementation of TISL education implementation plan 2008.
