Trade unions, civil society organizations, academics, media personnel, artists and the general public came together on 31st October 2012 to pledge their commitment to the fight against corruption and launch the first ever Coalition against Corruption at the New Town Hall, Colombo.
The photograph below captures the moment when the members of the Coalition along with Rev. Sri Naga Viharadipathi Maduluwawe Sobitha took the Pledge of Allegiance to act against all forms of bribery and corruption with determination in order to create a nation that upholds integrity.
Guest speakers at the event included Former Auditor General, S.C. Mayadunne and Dr. Lalithasiri Gunaruwan, Senior Lecturer attached to the University of Colombo.
