Survey on service delivery completed

Transparency International Sri Lanka (TISL) has concluded another fact-finding survey on service delivery of Mawathagama and Polpithigama Divisional Secretariats.

The survey was conducted over a two-month period when over 600 people in these divisions were interviewed.

The services rendered by the Secretariats including the  registration of births and deaths, land registrations, issuing of permits, registration of small enterprises were examined during the survey. The information collected through this survey will enable officials to identify the existing gaps in service delivery and will provide them with an opportunity for improvement in the future.

Dr Dhammika Herath, head of the survey said that the collected data will be first shared with officials of the Divisional Secretariats and other stakeholders before making it public.
