The much awaited inaugural launch of the youthlink web portal web portal was held yesterday, 15th January 2012, at the Executive Lounge of the Institute of Policy Studies. The portal was declared open to the public and especially to the youth by Chief Guest Mr. Lalith Piyum Perera, Chairman of the National Youth Services Council.
Youthlink is a dynamic new online platform for collaboration and communication on youth development in Sri Lanka. Team Youthlink comprises a group of organizations and individuals working on critical issues facing the country’s young people, including Transparency International Sri Lanka. Youthlink is a revolutionary step forward in Sri Lanka’s youth development arena, engaging young people from all walks of life on a single platform. This portal is a platform to discuss, share and debate.
The launch was followed by a Youth Panel discussing Youthlink, its future and its role in the formulation and implementation of Sri Lanka’s National Youth Policy. To visit the portal and for more information please click on www.youthlink.lk
