Mr. S. Ranugge, a senior management professional with over 30 years experience in public sector management has assumed duties as Executive Director of Transparency International Sri Lanka (TISL).
He has served as Secretary to several Ministries and as head of departments. At the time of his appointment, he was a Management Consultant at the Sri Lanka Institute of Administration and a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Colombo and the Open University of Sri Lanka.
He has graduated from Peradeniya University with a second class honours degree in Sociology and has a post-graduate degree in Development Studies from the Institute of Social Studies, the Hague – Netherlands, specializing in public policy and administration. He has also obtained a Professional Certificate in Urban Planning from Hunter College – City University of New York (USA) and an Advanced Certificate in Health Management from University of Boston (USA).
He is the winner of a Huber H Humphrey Fellowship (1987-88).
