Meanwhile, the work of TISL continues with much enthusiasm. Given the post-war context and the major socio-political changes underway, we are identifying strategic priorities for the next five years. The consultative process continues and we will finalize the efforts soon when the main focus areas, strategies and activities will be identified to guide our work for the new phase 2011-2014. The strategic and work plans along with the implementation structure for the TISL will be completed by end April 2011.
TISL has grown from a modest beginning in 2003 with a core group of four persons establishing the TI Sri Lanka chapter. Today a team of 30 based in Colombo and with two field stations in Ampara and Anuradhapura continues to stay engaged to improve governance and undertake anti-corruption initiatives. The main work areas are (i) research, publishing and dissemination of information, (ii) training and (iii) advocacy.
