The two buses which belong to Anuradhapura and Rathnapura Technical Colleges are being used for Election propaganda activities according to a complaint received by the PPPR of Transparency International Sri Lanka.
Director General of Department of Technical Education & training has requested the Colleges to release the buses bearing number plates of NA6916 and NA6912 to Galle technical college to use in training programme.
The buses were to be use from 05th March 2010 t0 15th March 2010. But so far the buses have not returned to respective Colleges and both buses have being extensively used for propaganda activities of a Minister representing Galle District.
Meanwhile, 42 workers attach to Various Technical Colleges have been involved in the Election campaign of the said Minister in Galle. They were released from the respective Colleges to participate in a training programme. But no training programme has taken place in Galle.
