The government announced that this year’s budget would be presented in May, informed government sources said. Although it was expected to present the 2010 budget last November, it was decided not to present a budget so close to the Parliamentary Elections which were to be held in February this year.

However it managed to cover the first four months through an interim budget, which was passed in the parliament. That period is due to expire on April 30.
