Sri Lanka hosted the 2007 Transparency International (TI) South Asian Sub-Regional Conference in Colombo, Sri Lanka from the 31st of May to the 2nd of June at the Hotel Cinnamon Grand. The objective was to increase exchange between regional chapters, strengthen regional advocacy and engage stakeholders on all levels.
Delegates representing regional TI chapters from Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka were present, including representatives from the TI Secretariat based in Berlin, Germany. Also present were members of the Maldives chapter-in-formation.
