Action Plan against Corruption in Public Sector Developed

Members of the Coalition against Corruption developed an action plan to expand its capacity to unearth corruption, frauds and malpractices in the public sector in order to mitigate corruption in Sri Lanka. Apart from revealing the corruption and fraud issues they have decided to share that information with relevant institutes including Parliament and CIABOC for necessary action.

The action plan was developed at a workshop organised by TISL for CAC members to enhance knowledge on corruption and anti- corruption initiatives. More than 20 leading trade union leaders attended the two- day workshop held at Randiya hotel in Moratuwa recently.

CAC members decided to expand the Coalition to regional level and they decided top form regional bodies in each province. They also agreed to work closely with parliamentarians to reveal corrupt activities in the Parliament. They pledged their support to work closely with TISL to mitigate corruption in the country.
