CAC hands over Corruption Cases to COPE

Transparency International Sri Lanka (TISL) led Coalition against Corruption met with COPE members representing the Opposition in Parliament on Tuesday, 18 August and handed over several cases of corruption with supporting documents to be taken them at COPE meetings.

On a request made by COPE chairman, Senior Minister Dew Gunasekara, the copies were also handed over to COPE office.

Joint conveners of the Coalition Saman Rathnapriya, Josep Stalin and Thilak Kariyawasam along with other CAC members and TISL representatives were present at the meeting with the parliamentarians.

They requested the MP’s to take the matters detailed in the documents at  COPE meetings as well as during parliamentary proceedings.
