The police is seeking TISL support to learn aboiut issues regarding State lands.
At a recent legal advice camp held in Polonnaruwa, a request was made by the senior officer in charge of Polonnaruwa police to conduct training on State land issues to policemen in the district during the legal advice camp held.
The legal advice camp conducted jointly by TISL and OXFAM International’s Peoples Action for Right to Land was held at Dhawala Mandiraya in Polonnaruwa.
While accepting the request TISL and OXFAM are currently exploring the feasibility of holding a training workshop covering the entire staff in the district.
